Carrier Ethernet IP Cores

Arrive’s FPGA-based Carrier Ethernet IP Cores offer a family of solutions for Ethernet switch, Carrier Ethernet, mobile backhaul, broadband access and packet optical transport applications.

Arrive provides total solutions in groupings of 2 to 8 GbE ports; up to 16 FE ports; aggregation nodes with up to 24 GbE ports; 10G uplinks with 2 10GbE ports and high-capacity nodes with up to multiple 10GbE ports.  Carrier Ethernet IP Cores provide a software programmability of UNI and NNI for each port. Optical fibers are provided with integrated transceivers inside FPGAs, so no external components are required. Twisted-pair cables are provided with external PHYs. For service providers’ requirements, these IP Cores provide non-blocking packet switching, MPLS-TP, OAM, ACL, SLA, Statistic Counts, QoS and Ring in hardware implementation.

 

For system requirements, Carrier Ethernet IP Cores provide Redundancy, Timing and Service Activation Test in hardware implementation. Timing is provided as 1588v2 time-stamping, transaction, algorithm and a combination with Sync-E and Stratum 3E clock synthesizer. As applications require circuit emulation service, these IP Cores provide 16xE1/T1 ports integrated or a companion with Arrive's Pseudowire IP Core family.

Arrive’s IP Cores are provided in fully complete bitstream or encrypted netlist format along with firmware device driver/software API packages, BSP, schematic and layout reference design files, design reviews, board testing and support from initial project definition to mass production. The IP Core bitstreams and encrypted netlists are targeted to specific FPGA devices that are selected based on the mix of features requested and customer preference.

 

All IP Cores are provided with Arrive's SDK with a single API software driver that supports protocol stack handling. For customers who want to maximize investment on existing software, Arrive supports integration of its SDK into a customer's existing software.  SDK source code and full documentation is provided.
