Ethernet over SONET / SDH

Ethernet over SONET/SDH (EoS) refers to a group of protocols that allows Ethernet frames to be carried over either SONET or SDH networks. Ethernet frames are typically encapsulated using GFP to create a synchronous stream of data which can then be mapped into the SONET/SDH streams using virtual concatenation technology (VCAT) with the reverse occurring at the other end of the link.

Arrive Technologies products offer powerful single chip solutions to Ethernet over SONET/SDH systems and can directly support 8 FE + 2 GE interfaces on chip or be expanded via the SPI3 interface. Fully integrated line side interfaces for up to 4 OC-12 or 4 OC-3, GFP encapsulation and VCAT processing capabilities make for an unbeatable, low power, single source solution for your EoS needs.
