CHANNELIZATION

Channelization is a term referring to a communications connection that contains more than one channel. In the context of Arrive’s AT2450 this represents a product with the capacity to handle up to 2048 individual channels (with an aggregate bandwidth of 1.25Gbs) in one, highly integrated device. The channels can be any mix from STS-12c down to DS0. The AT2450 provides four individually programmable OC-3/STM-1 or OC-12/STM-4 eight bit parallel or serial interfaces with integrated SerDes and CDR and can provide a complete ADM or Terminal for PDH or Data services.
